7 Quick Tips To Generate More Website Traffic Fast

SEO can be a scary word for a business owner, especially if you are really new to the world of owning your own website!

If you have recently launched your website I really do advise that you make sure your whole website's SEO is set up properly. Make sure your images are the right size, and that you have alt tags, meta tags, headers, etc. You can download my free SEO checklist HERE.

But for now, check out my top SEO tips & tricks for some quick wins to get your website changes showing in google within a few weeks!

1. Use Keywords that people are searching for within your content.

Note that if you chose keywords that are high in competition you will be going up against all of the content already ranking on Google. Chose keywords with a low to moderate difficulty.

If you have already written your website content or if you are yet to start it, head on over to Google Keyword Planner and do a search for specific keywords relating to your niche. You are going to want to choose keywords that have a high monthly search result but low to medium difficulty. This is the easiest way to get your pages ranking higher.

You will notice that the Google Keyword Planner has more related keywords that you can really go into a rabbit hole over!

2. Make your website speed super fast

You have a measly 7 seconds from when a viewer lands on your site to them deciding whether to stay and see more or to hit the back button and find someone else's site.

Head on over to the Google Developer tool and make use of their free PAGE SPEED CHECKER to see what your current website speed looks like.

If you are on the lower side you can improve this by making sure all of your images are correctly sized up, you do not have lots of animations on your landing page and you are not using crazy fonts.

3. Write captivating content

Writing content aimed directly at your ideal client is crucial. You need to be answering their questions, and solving their problems, keep your viewer engaged as the longer they spend on your website, the better! Look at the language that your ideal clients use and emulate that in your own content. If you are struggling with ideas, a great tool for looking at what questions people have is Also Asked, you can have up to 3 free searches on this daily so make the most of it.

4. Create A Google My Business Account

Google My Business (GMB, formerly known as Google Places for Business) offers companies a fantastic opportunity to appear in Google search results, but the best thing about creating a Google My Business listing is that it’s free!

Google My Business provides you with the ability to list your business location on Google Maps and local search results.

You can display important information about your business, including the opening/closing times, contact details, or a link to your website.

5. Get testimonials

Now you have your Google My Business (GMB) account, you are also able to get people to leave you reviews on Google. Reach out to past clients, and people that you have helped, and ask them to leave you a review. You can find the link to share with them within your GMB account.

Top tip: Take screenshots of your reviews, make them look pretty using Canva.com, and share them on your social media accounts

6. Write blogs

Blogging is an amazing tool for building your website's SEO, you can use your blog to show your knowledge in your niche and really pack out the content with those valuable keywords that people are going to be searching for. You can also repurpose your blogs into your social media posts, so win-win!

Don't forget when you publish a new blog to not only share the shit out of it BUT to also prompt Google to crawl that page, so you are not waiting for ages for the benefits of it.

7. Get on Pinterest

Last, but definitely not least, set up a Pinterest account, chose the business account option, and start pinning all of your blog posts. Pinterest is a search engine in its own right and people are on there ALL the time looking for answers to their problems.

Test it for yourself, head on over to Google and search for something related to your niche. I bet the first few search results are pinned posts on Pinterest!
